Avenger Of Blood--On Slaying  Ground   cd   {Times  End  Rec.}
 Avenger  Of Blood   is  a  new   band  to  me  and  plays  a  very  violent and  harsh   thrash  metal  style.Picture  if  early  Kreator  and  Slayer  combined  their  musical  talents  with  the  bands  own   talent  and  writing  skills.The  guitarist   knows  how  to  write  and execute  very  fast and  aggressive  guitar  chords and  patterns.The  guitars  are  done  with  a lot  of  speed  but the  guitarists  know  how to write  memorable  patterns  and  mix  in some  really  well played  solo's.The  drumming  is  done  with  some  very  crazed and blast beat drum  sections but the  drummer can  also  slow  to  a  more  mid  tempoed  style  before  letting  loose  and  going  full force  with the  blast,fast  drum  patterns.The  vocals  are  a  mix  of  of thrashy metal  screams  and even  some  blackend  metal,thrash  screams. If you  are  a   fan  of  old-school  thrash  metal  then  do  not   let  this  band  pass  you by and  buy the  new  release  today.

Eteritus--Following  The  Ancient  Path  cd   {Godz Ov  War}
Coming  out  of  Poland's  old-school  death  metal  scene  is  Eteritus with their debut  The  Ancient  Path. Eteritus  play  a  good   mix  of  mid  paced  old-school  death  metal  with  a  few faster  sections  mixed  in  a  few  of the  songs.The  guitars  are  played  with  a lot  of  power  and  heavy  guitar  riffs  and  patterns.That  range  from  a  mid  tempo  to  a  faster and  crazed  guitar  style.The  drummer  is  just  as  precise  and  knows  how  to  create and  play  the drums  going  from  an  all out  assult  of  crazed drums to  a  more  controlled  mid paced  drums.If  you  are  a  fan  of  early  nineties   death  metal  then  be  sure  to  check  out   Eteritus  debut  today.

Profanatica--The Curling  Flame  Of  Blasphemy  cd,Lp,Cassette  {Hells  Headbangers  Rec.}
Profanatica  the  U.S.B.M  legends  return  with their  most  vile  and  rawest  release to date.The  music  is  mainly  played  in  the  raw,mid paced  black metal  with  a  few  sections  of  heavy  and  faster  black  metal  elements  being  used.The  guitars  are  played  with  some  very  well  written  and  arranged  patterns  that  stay true  to  the  Profanatica  sound.The  drumming  is  done  with  both  a  mid  tempoed  drum  pattern to  a  more straight  forward  drumming  style.If  you  are  a  fan  of  Profanatica  past  releases  then  you  defintly  do  not  want  to  miss  the  new  release  when  it  is  released.

Supremative--Servitude Of  The  Impurity  7inch  {Blood Harvest Rec.}
 Spain's  Supremative   is  getting  their  2013  debut  demo  re-released  on  a  vinyl  format  through the  mighty  Blood Harvest Rec.Featuring  four  songs  of  early  blackend  death  metal  at  it's  finest.The  guitars  are  played  with  a lot  of  well  written  guitar  patterns  and  riffs.The  guitars  range from  a  mid  tempoed  style  to  a  semi  faster  speed  in  a  few  of the songs.The  drumming  is  done  with  a lot  of  experience  ranging from  fast  almost  blast  beats  that  are  really  well  done  to  a  more  controlled  tempo.The  vocals  are  a  mix  of  raw death  metal  and  some  blackend  screams  entertwined  within  a  few  songs.The  demo  was  originally  released  in  2013  but  sounds  like  it  could  have  been  done  in  the early to  mid  nineties  blackend death  scene.I  believe this  is  a  very  limited  release  so  if you  are   interested  in  buying this  I   would  try to get  a  copy as soon  as  possible.

Interview  with   Martin  Bassist   of   Centinex   done  by    Patrick

1.Hello   Martin   thank  you  for  taking the  time  to  fill  this  interview  out  please  introduce yourself  to  the  readers?

Well I'm Martin, founding member, bassist, main song-writer and somekind of leader in CENTINEX.

2. Martin  you  first  formed  Centinex  in  1990   what  gave you  the  idea  to  start this  band? And  in  2006  you  all  stopped  the  band  why  did you  decide to  put the  band  on  hold?
I have been listening to metal since the mid 80's and always looking for more and more extreme bands. As I had started to play guitar around the same time my musical taste also influenced my guitar playing and when the first Swedish death metal bands came in the late 80's and early 90's i was hooked. I wanted to start a band and that way CENTINEX was boen.
We kept on going during all the years, releasing albums, doing a lot of shows and so on but in 2006 I felt I had reached the end due to personal and musical differences with the rest of the band. So I buried everything, that was it.

3.You  reformed   Centinex    in  2014  what  gave you  all the  idea to  reform  the  band? And  how  would  you  say    Centinex's  music   has  changed  over the  years?

Between 2006 and 2014 a lot of the old releases were re-released etc so there was a constant interested in the band even if we weren'r active.
I had been thinking of puting CENTINEX back together since 2012 or something but hadn't had time, then in early 2014 I felt that now or never.
When I announced the return with a new line-up and all that, I had already some new material written and ready. This is why we were able to enter the studio and record "Redeeming Filth" rather fast after the announcement.
Musically the "new" CENTINEX is a bit different than the old version of the band, now we do not focus that much on speed and melodies but more on mid-tempo headbanging friendly DEATH METAL !!

4. Centinex   is  getting  ready to  release the  new  cd   "Doomsday Rituals"   how  long  did  it  take  the  band  to  write  the  music  for this   release? And  does  the  whole  band  work on  the  music  or  does  one  member  usually  write  everything?

It took about 3-4 months to write the music. I wrote everything, the music, and the vocalist wrote all the lyrics. Everything went pretty fast but this is basic death metal, it doesn't have or need to take longer than that.

5.How  would  you  say    Centinex's   music  has  evolved and  changed  since the  beginning  of the  band  til  present  day?

As I said, the music is now a bit more slower and more based around riffs instead of melodies and speed. Basically you can say that the band is now more influenced by the early American death metal bands than those from Sweden.

6.What   have  been    Centinex's  most   memorable   shows  over  the years?

There have been many so it's impossible to pick any special one. In general we enjoy doing shows and tours so we try to make the best of every show.

7.Does  the  band  have  any  upcoming  tours  to  tell the readers about?  And  if  yes  where  are some  places  the  band  will  be  touring?

We have a lot of festivals coming up this summer and autumn and a European tour will follow in 2017. All details will be revealed soon so keep your eyes open.

8.I n  your   opinion   what  is the  best  and  worst  thing  about  the   underground  scene  these days? And  what  does  underground   metal   mean to you?

The worst thing in my opinion is that there are too many bands, too many labels and it's too easy to release albums these days. back in the early 90's there were also many bands but far from as many as today, and those bands who got to release albums did really deserve it, they had something to offer. Today anyone can record an album and get it to sound good with modern equipment, then you can have it out through a label or by yourself and in the end this leads to the fact that the scene will be flooded with crappy releases from crappy bands and quality bands disappear easily in the stream of shit. For me there is no underground anymore, not in the same way as 20--25 years ago.

9. Centinex   comes   out  of the   mighty  Swedish  death  metal  scene   what  is your  opinion  of  Sweden's death  metal scene ?  And  do  you  feel  it   has  gotten  better  or  worse  since the  mid  1990's?

As you maybe understand I think things have become worse, in my opinion.

10. Who   are your  all-time  favorite   Swedish  metal  bands?  And  are  their  any  new  bands  you  feel  the readers  should  watch  out  for?

I don't have any all-time favorite bands, instead favorite albums. They are the debuts from GRAVE, UNLEASHED, DISMEMBER and ENTOMBED. As for new bands, yes there are some great ones but in general, the old ones were better.

11.When  not  writing  new  music  or   preparing  for  a  show    what  do you  enjoy  doing  in your  free  time?

Besides playing in CENTINEX I do also play in DEMONICAL (the band I started in 2006 after I quit CENTINEX) and run my own booking and management agency, Dreamtide Music, so I really have no free time.

12.Thank  you   Martin   for  taking  the  time  to  fill this   interview   out.Do  you   have  any  final  comments  for the  readers?

Thank you for supporting us and real death metal!
